SEISS Grant Support

Self-Employment Income Support Scheme

HMRC will be contacting potentially eligible clients of ours from mid-July onwards from the 5th Self Employed Income Support Scheme grant.
The portal for applications will open at the end of July, and you will have until the 30th September 2021 to make a claim.

Claiming SEISS can only be done if you have made a loss of turnover – the amount you get will be affected by the percentage turnover lost. For over 30% lost, you can get up to £7,500, but for less than 30% the maximum grant is £2,850. The turnover loss is calculated by looking at your last four years of turnover.

Your accountant cannot claim for you – you are the only one that can sign the declaration on your behalf.

Your accountant however can supply any figures you need to support your claim for example your turnover.
You must check that you still fit the eligibility criteria before making a claim.
